Ghost Hunts
Ghost hunting is an essential part of paranormal investigations. I have been on a fair few ghost hunts myself, and this page is here to give you a bit of background information on what we do.
Hadleigh Castle ![]()
Hadliegh Castle, which is located over looking the Thames estuary in south east Essex England, began its construction in 1230. It was originally built for Hubert de Burgh who was Chief Justiciar to king John. During its history it has had some notable residents, namely three of King Henry VIII wives, Anne of Cleves, Catherine Parr, and Catherine of Aragon. The history of this castle spanned for about 300 years until King Edward VI sold the castle and its stone was stripped for other projects.
the above pictures give you a general feel of what Hadleigh Castle looks like now. Tony, my ghost hunting buddy, and myself recently went on a short ghost hunt here. Strangely though, it didn't feel spooky at the time, even in the pitch black. The techniques we used were, infra red filming and also trying to pick up E V P on a voice recorder. The voice recorder picked up nothing but the infra red filming was a different matter. During a short filming session on a small part of the castle we actually recorded an unidentified voice, saying what we think was "you b**tard". The voice faded in and faded out in a ghostly fashion and was of an old English accent. It wasn't us and there was no one interfering with the filming. This footage will be on the Ghost Hunter Extraordinaire site.
